In the cooking club, we learn about raw ingredients and cooking methods. The emphasis is on healthy eating and practical activities. Cooking clubs are divided into three blocks: cooking, school of the senses, and scientific experiments. In the class, we experiment with different substances: for example, how to blow the contents of an egg out of the shell? How to make ice cream in five minutes using a plastic bag? How to make butter from milk (whipping cream)?
After attending the cooking club, the child:
• has become familiar with different flavours;
• recognises the foods covered in the class and can name them;
• knows how to use the tools tried out in class and knows how to maintain safety;
• enjoys cooking and can judge food not only based on flavour, but also based on smell and appearance;
• knows simpler techniques, such as rolling between hands, mixing food, peeling a mandarin, etc.
