Counselling for parents on topics related to kindergarten

We welcome to a consultation/counselling all parents of pre-school-aged (0–7 years) children who wish to support their child’s development and to contribute to the child’s high quality pre-school education and who need advice and support on various topics related to children. Consulting with a pre-school education specialist helps to get a better overview of the possibilities of cooperation between the home and the kindergarten and to be a more informed parent. A selection of topics to come to a consultation on:

Topics related to kindergarten:

• Choosing and changing the kindergarten
• Various pedagogical approaches
• Supporting the child as they adapt to the kindergarten
• Relationships and cooperation with the group’s staff
• Lunch break in the kindergarten
• Eating in the kindergarten
• Preparedness for school, postponement of school, and earlier enrolment in school

Topics related to the overall development of the child:

• Creating an age-appropriate daily routine for the child
• Supporting the child’s development at home
• The development of the child’s own skills and independence in pre-school age
• Supporting the development of the child’s social skills
• Supporting the development of a bilingual child
• Supporting a special and gifted child at home and in the kindergarten

Counselling takes place at a pre-arranged time in the Väike Päike Kesklinna Lastehoid (Tuukri 11, Tallinn), Väike Päike Lasteaed (Kraavi tee 1, Viimsi rural municipality), or via a video call.
