The Magic Land of Science is a STEAM approach to introducing science to toddlers, helping to develop a lifelong love of exploration. The term STEAM is derived from the words science, technology, engineering, art and math, and in Estonian it refers to natural and exact sciences.
The main characters are Harald and Freya, characters from the Väike Päike Children’s Club book “Maruvahva lasteaed”. Through playful stories, the twins invite children on scientific adventures to explore and learn. This approach enhances children’s natural curiosity. Creativity, problem solving and collaboration are central.
Each class consists of solving one problem in the magic land, presented to the children in an animated form. From there, we will start doing experiments together, observing them, taking notes on the observations, and drawing conclusions and acquiring new knowledge.
It is a unique programme based on the STEAM curriculum for Väike Päike Children’s Club and long-term practice.
With the help of the programme of the Magic Land of Science, children become masters of playful and engaging STEAM education.
